Christmas Recap #2

Christmas morning we got up to see what Santa brought to Grandma's house for us (we made sure to tell him we would be at Grandma's this year).

We had a yummy breakfast with Papa and Grandma Lu and then got dressed and headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Newmans to open more presents!  I swear we get so spoiled!

The biggest surprise at my Mom's was that I got a MIXER!  Can I just tell you I have been asking for a mixer for YEARS?!  But I've just never wanted to drop the $$$ on one.  Thankfully the Parents came through big time this year.  I was shocked and not expecting it at all!  The mixer has changed my life lol.  I use it ALL the time! Love it!!  (Is it sad I get that excited about a kitchen appliance?)

Lukie and Drew of course got some fun stuff too.  Lucky boys!

The next day we spent the morning with Raleigh's parents at the Hill Aerospace Museum.  Wow that place is SO cool!!  It was amazing to see the planes and hear the stories about many of them from Raleigh's dad.  Raleigh's Grandpa Thompson was a flight mechanic during WWII as well so it was so cool to see the kind of plane he would have flown on.  Really gave me such an appreciation for the amazing men and women who serve our country.

Monday night Raleigh had to catch a plane back to Vegas at 10 p.m. to head back to work so we met up with our friends from high school and had dinner.  I love these people!  They are so nice to make time to get together with us around a busy time of year.  It was great to catch up with everyone.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas as well!  (2 months ago..)

Christmas Recap #1

Hello!  It's February!  But I'm blogging about Christmas time.  That's how I roll.  :)

We got up Friday morning, December 23, and headed up to Utah to spend Christmas with our extended families.  Before we left we let the boys open one of their presents which was a MUCH needed new DVD player for the car.  Good H those things save lives I think.   They also got to open a new movie each: Cars 2 (of course), and The Lion King.

We made it up to the WVC just in time for the Newman family Christmas party.  We had a great time!  Ate a yummy dinner, played a few games of lightening, told the nativity story, and opened white elephants.   Raleigh and I and the boys were pretty wasted after the drive so we left around 9 to go to bed.  The party was still going pretty strong!  I love my family.

The original Newman kids:  I have the coolest brothers and sisters ever!

Drew and his cousin Lika.  They are pretty much inseparable when we visit Utah.

Lukie looks a little scared of Uncle Kelly in this one.  :)

We spent Christmas Eve with the Thompson Family.  We had an incredible dinner, opened presents, and just enjoyed time talking with each other!  We didn't figure out until later that our camera lens was dirty for some reason.  So these next few pictures are a little dusty looking.

The boys made out like bandits!

All the Thompson grandchildren.. Later we got the fun news that one more was on the way in the Halladay Family!

Raleigh was THRILLED with his presents.

Original Thompsons and in-laws.

Just the girls.  I ADORE these women.  They have always been so wonderful to me and I love being a part of their family!
