September Catch-Up

The month of September WHIZZED on by as well!

The highlights:

Andrew officially started preschool! As mentioned previously, he just goes Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for 3 hours. (Luke is usually sleeping during this time.. so I kinda love it! Real quiet time just for me! :)) He really loves it. I just wish I could be a fly on the wall in there to see how he acts. On the days he doesn't have preschool, during quiet time, we work on a preschool book together. It is a really cute book I found at Costco that has all kinds of fun activities in it. He practices writing letters, beginning phonics, beginning math skills, etc. It is actually really fun to do with him! He is a smart kid. Just struggles in the writing department a bit, but we are working on it. Here he is on his first day!

On the September 10, our little family headed out to L.A. to catch the Utah vs. USC game. Sadly, we lost, but it was an exciting game and the Utes played hard! It was really fun to be there. We sat just about 10 rows up from our players which was cool. We were by a bunch of old USC fans, but they were SO nice. Very classy people. It was a really beautiful campus and coliseum as well. The boys got a little restless (Drew asked me about 5 mins into the first quarter if it was time to go to the hotel) but overall they did good. Just had to keep the fun snacks comin!

We got there a little early, so we sat on the grass outside for a bit so the boys could run around.
Our view of the field:
Go UTES! (Sadly our season is not turning out so great. Can we please at least win ONE Pac-12 game?? PLEASE?!) Oh well we are proud to be Utah alumns regardless! :)

After the game we stayed in a hotel in Rancho Cucamunga. The boys were wasted and went right to sleep. In the morning we took them to the park for a little bit and then headed home. It was a fun, quick trip!

September also FINALLY gave us a bit cooler weather, not much, but a bit. At least to where it was bearable to go to the park after dinner.
We took the boys several times to ride their bikes. (Well Luke just stands on the scooter while one of us pulls it along, ha ha)

This is random, but the boys ALWAYS want me to take their picture while they are in the tub. They hate posing for pictures, but for some reason in the tub they are always yelling for me to take their picture! Little exhibitionists!!

There were also a few more visits to the Purple Penguin snow cone shack. I'm kinda sad it is already closed. It is still 90+ degrees out! My cool little boys waiting in line. :)
Bet you can't guess which flavor Drew had!!

I think that's about it for September! I seriously need to set a goal to blog at least once a week so I don't get so behind. So every Thursday you can expect an update from me. For sure! I hope so anyway. Well, maybe.

What is the purple penguin?

I didn't know there was an actual "UP" house!!! That's the coolest thing ever! I want to go see it.

I'm glad Drew loves school, and I'm with you on the writing thing. Easton is HORRIBLE at writing...although I have seen improvement since kindergarten started. Thank goodness.

So excited to see you tonight!!!

At least when Utah loses every game from now on, you can just root for Oregon. Whoops, did this BYU alum just sound happy that Utah is losing all the time? haha. just kidding. I know I really have nothing to brag about considering the result of that BYU vs. Utah game.

I am glad the USC folks treated you right. Even though we are far from a football fam, I really liked the atmosphere at the games. Makes me want to visit!

And you are babalicious. I love that pic of you and Lukie! An every Thursday post sounds good to me :)
