Trip to Utah

So I am way behind on blogging. So the next few posts are going to be catch up posts (and also long and boring!! But this is my journal, sort of, so I must record!).

Towards the end of June the boys and I went up to Utah for a week and a half or so. We had a great time hanging out with family and friends!

Honorable mentions include:

Running the Westfest 5K with my Mom and sister. It was the first time I actually didn't have to stop and walk and was able to run the whole thing. (Felt like an accomplishment to me.. but kinda pathetic for you marathon runners!) It was fun and a beautiful morning for a run around the good ole' WVC.

After the run, I met up with my Mother-in-law and sister-in-law for the Westfest Parade. The parade was alright, the boys had a good time I think.

Then that night we were able to go watch the fireworks from the West fest. It was Lukie's first time seeing fireworks and he kept worrying they were going to fall on his head. (that is why he is covering his head in this photo) :)

Drew and I were quite impressed. :)

During the next week we were able to go swimming quite a few times:

Here we met up with Liz, Alison, and Terri and their cute kiddos.

Once with the cute Jess in her Grandma's lovely pool.

And a few more times with cousins in Grandma Lu's backyard.



Raleigh flew up to join us that Thursday so we could head up to Logan for my family reunion over the 4th. We were all able to stay at my brother's new house, or ahem, ESTATE, in Wellsville. It was such a BEAUTIFUL place. They live right next to the mountains and I would never, ever get sick of that view!





We had a great time dancing on the balcony, playing volleyball, fireworks, some serious games of lightening, and just sitting and chatting. I love my family!

Raleigh and I left a day early so we could spend a day with his family before heading back to Vegas. We had a fun BBQ and did fireworks. My boy have seriously had their fill of fireworks over the last month!!

Lastly, just had to post this pic of Luke. At the family reunion in Logan he tripped over a basketball and scraped his nose on the ground. It looked like he had a smudge of chocolate on his nose for a good week! lol. Love this kid!
