Morning rituals

We REALLY need a king size bed...

Mostly because this little stinker comes in about 6:30 almost every morning and snuggles up with us and falls back asleep. I don't mind the snuggling and definitely not the falling back asleep, but seriously after a half hour or so he stretches out like he owns the place and me and the dad inevitably get up because it is too hot and tight in that bed. (and seriously how have we been married for 9 years with just a queen? It's a wonder we haven't killed each other by now!)

We do try to stay in bed as long as we can stand it though. Which means if this guy starts yapping too early we just throw some toys in his crib to give ourselves another half hour or so.

Remember when you didn't have kids and you could sleep in until 10 or 11?

Yeah. Me neither.

Good thing they are cute!

How is it that the smaller they are, the more room they take up? Ben is the same way, only he sleeps diagonally. If he comes in, John goes out to the couch. Three is a crowd with a queen sized bed for sure!

Oh my gosh, I liked this post. I can't believe how early I get up these days! I'm a normal person now. I didn't know anyone else on the planet used to sleep in 'till 10 or 11. I thought I was the only one. Get a King. You will not regret it. Greg and i got one a year ago and it's great. When we first got it I remember us looking at each other and it felt so far away. But it's GREAT!!!! Do it!!!

Oh yeah, Greg and I got a memory foam knock off at Walmart and it is CHEAP but GREAT. Highly recommend. Seriously amazing price, but a good mattress.

Derek and I sport a Queen too.......and we are not little people so, I feel your pain! One day we might upgrade to a king, but until then we will be sleep deprived and grumpy. ;)

Milika does the same thing almost every morning. Drives me crazy! Sometimes I love it and other times, I can't sleep. They are adorable though aren't they?

Love this post! I am all about keeping baby girl in her crib until the "right time." That right time is usually the point at which she yells, "Mom, breakfast!" Haha.

Yes, yes, you NEED a king size bed. You'll wonder why you waited so long :)

Oh sleeping in!! I miss that! hahaha We've never had one crawl in bed with us in the morning, but we did have one who had a nightmare one night and wouldn't go back to his bed -- so we decided to let him sleep with us. That boy sprawled out sideways on our bed. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch and I was stuck with the bed hog! :) :)
